Full Moon
Sacred Meadow Circle
"We are all the same.
Each of us may be unique in our individual ways, and perhaps on different paths along our journey. However, nothing makes one better than the next, or higher than, or more important than, and so on.
Each is to be respected, listened to, and helped along their own journey (when needed).
Together, we are one coven.
Each of us can teach, and each of us can learn, from one another."
Welcome!
Thank you for visiting and taking the time to learn more about the
Full Moon Sacred Meadow Circle Empowerment group.
It's important to understand the differences between:
Wicca is a religion that involves magick in it's practices
Witchcraft is a spirituality or expression of intention
and A Witch is any person that does Witchcraft.
For more information on Wicca, please visit the New Moon S. M. C. page
For more information on Witchcraft please visit the Astral S. M. C. page
Also, feel free to Click here for more information on how to join.

Message from the
Full Moon Sacred Meadow Circle
"Dear Visitor,
Welcome and thank you so much for visiting our website and learning more about our coven, the empowerment gatherings, and our magick!
It is the intention of the empowerment gatherings to guide and support other witches in creating a personally satisfying practice. Together we meet regularly to explore topics of magick that are interesting and relevant to it's members. Each of us are on individual paths in the craft. And so, Each has something to teach, and has something to learn, from each other.
There are just as many types of witches as there are witches!
We occasionally host remote Dark Moon gatherings with invited guests. If you have an established personal practice and you're interested to get involved, we would love to hear from you. Please feel free to reach out and send us your questions, suggestions or comments by contacting us!
Bright Blessings!
Full Moon Sacred Meadow Circle"
Common
misconceptions
-
That Witchcraft, Wicca and Pagan are all the same thing.
-
They are not. And, are very different from each other! (mentioned above)
-
-
That magick is inherently evil, or tied to evil, or the devil, etc.
-
Absolutely not! In fact, there isn't even a devil related to witchcraft.
-
-
That one has to be female to be a witch... etc.
-
Nope! Actually, the term "witch" is gender neutral.
-
-
That all covens work Skyclade (nude) together at gatherings.
-
Not this coven! Although some Gardnerian traditional covens do perform skyclade ceremony, not all covens do. In fact, Seax Wiccan tradition encourages self-ritual if skyclade with at least the wearing of a tunic or robe.
-
-
That all traditions are open to learn and practice.
-
...there are closed practices that are only meant to be learned by those from the culture/tradition itself. For example, Voodoo of Hoodoo traditions.
-
-
That magick is either "white", or "black", etc.
-
Magick just is... the term "Black Magick" doesn't mean bad. It means traditions from African Tribal Origin and is usually a closed magickal practice.
-
-
That the use of sage is cultural appropriation.
-
Mimicking a traditional use of sage is cultural appropriation. However, the use of sage in your own unique practices, is not.
-
-
That there is only one type of witch, or that all witches are the same.
-
There are just as many types of witches, as there are witches.
-
We are ALL equal.
The role of the High Priest and/or High Priestess at coven gatherings is to facilitate the group through the rituals and traditions and assist with initiations within the Sacred Meadow Circle. She/He/They are not considered elevated in membership to the coven in anyway, and are no more higher than, nor more powerful than any other member of the coven.
As members, we are truly ALL equal.
The status of "High Priest(ess)" in the S.M.C. tradition only references to the gained experience in the tradition required to facilitate or lead ritual (also referred to as standing center in the circle). The High Priest(ess) may require assistance to which members may be invited to take a member position to assume a role during ritual and gatherings. Positions should be filled by a Gesith, Cesith, or Priest or Priestess of the tradition. See the 'Members' section below for more details.
Please note: Coven membership and member positions or status do not extend beyond the Sacred Meadow Circle.
If you have completed initiation with another coven before joining S.M.C., your experience would be considered as a Cesith.
Click here for more information about these membership positions from the New Moon S.M.C. page.

Some Rules
When TO KNOW
Do research and exploration of the craft in the areas of your own interests. Everyone has a different point of view. This path is a lifetime of development. Please be kind and courteous at all times.
When TO DARE
Do what feels right and stay true to your own practice. Please respectfully disagree if doing so. Bullying, targeting, or attacking a member of this group is not allowed and will not be tolerated.
When TO WILL
We can support each other in finding your own way in the craft. Manifest your own will's desires. Be mindful of the Law of III if part of your practice. No selling to or spamming other members.
When TO BE SILENT
Revealing identities of witches or other coven information could result in the jeopardization of wellness or saftey for other members. Please be respectful, supportive and considerate of one another.
Know:
Privacy
It should be mentioned that:
-
All else that is permitted to be revealed to non-members is that the Sacred Meadow Circle exists as a collaboration of separated gatherings of witches.
-
No in-coven business is discussed outside of the circles such as but not limited to about what is discussed, the magickal workings that are involved, traditions explored, any trainings or lessons that take place within, or whom any of the other members are, etc.
-
Since witches and witchcraft face so many misconceptions and misunderstandings in the world today, revealing identities of witches or other coven information could result in the jeopardization of wellness or saftey for others. Please be respectful and considerate of one another.
-
- Blessed be!
All membership for consideration is via invitation only.

Friends of the coven
Occasionally, the Sacred Meadow Circle may invite special guests or speakers to attend remote gatherings online or at in person gatherings as outer-circle guests. Speakers are invited to discuss witchcraft related topics that are of interest to the coven members, and do not partake in ritual or tradition related activities, etc.
Other invited guests are welcome provided that they are approved in advance by the participating group's members. This could include a spouse, youth (child of a coven member), or friend of a coven member, or a potential new member curious to learn more about the group before they join. Younger children are not acceptable invitees to Esbats. However, younger children are welcome to attend Sabbats under the supervision of their parent or guardian.
Click here for information about Esbats and Sabbats from the New Moon S.M.C. page
Spouses and significant partners of the coven members may be invited to observe as out of circle guests (with advanced notification to the group involved). Please note that only coven members partake in ritual.
It should be mentioned that members whom are also spouses should attend gatherings as individual witches and separate members of the coven. Each represents themselves in the craft and is respected as an individual that has separate trajectories and initiations in the tradition.
At no time should any one unknown to the group be present at gatherings! This includes remote gatherings that take place online, (usually over Zoom). And so, it is expected that each invited to the gatherings will not disclose the location to others, and will not share the join link used to attend remote gatherings. Those who participating in the gatherings will be considerate to their surroundings that which may be visible within your camera's view range and to be sure that there are no "ease-droppers" within hearing range of the computer or device being used. Each member or guest should use their own camera and mic to attend. - Thank you to everyone for these considerations.
Groups structure
It is important to mention that each member is considered equal.
The levels of development are individual learning achievements and do not reflect the status of a member and does not follow a traditional Wiccan three degrees system of initiation. Up on Seax Wiccan practices, The High Priest(ess) to lead the groups are voted upon provided they are a Gesith of the Sacred Meadow Circle tradition.
All decisions regarding the group's activities and interactions are mutually governed and agreed upon by each of the group's members themselves. Click here to see a diagram of the coven structure from the New Moon S.M.C. page.

Shadow Work
Words of Wisdom:
From a analytical psychological perspective, the Shadow can be described as:
"An unconscious aspect of the personality that does not correspond with the ego ideal, leading the ego to resist and project the shadow, most often leading to conflicts within."
Shadow work can be described as the process of working through and accepting potential "shadows" to no longer be in conflict with the ego. This process can be successful with any number of self analytical tools and services. For more information, please be sure to have visited the Astral S.M.C. page 'Shadow Work' and feel free to read the short blog entry: An opinion on Shadow Work.
Shadow work is highly recommended and can be done alone, privately and individual to the coven gatherings in the privacy and safety of your own home, or with a professional.
No one witch's shadow work looks the same as another's.
Trust your instincts, and Follow your intuition.
Many Blessings!
Grounding example
Grounding is recommended before you start any ritual, ceremony, or spell work to be sure you are structured and confident in your intention. Here is an example of a popular "Grounding visualization" technique that is often used by practitioners:
Eternal tree method:
-
Sit comfortably on a chair or you can also do this standing
-
Close your eyes, take deep breaths and exhale, until relaxed
-
In your mind's eye, visualize tree roots spreading down through the soles of your feet and continuing beneath the ground towards the center of the earth.
-
See the tree roots spreading out in all directions beneath you, and wrapping themselves around the earth’s center
-
Feel that you are grounded firmly. Visualize drawing energy up through the roots.
-
Allow that energy to flow through your body, should feel rejuvenating.
-
With our eye's still closed, raise your hands and visualize in your mind's eye that energy spreading out from your hands and fingers like branches growing into the sky and towards the stars.
-
See the branches sprout leaves and flowers and fruit, spreading out in all directions above you, practically and seemingly touching the stars.
-
Feel that you are energized and strong. Visualize drawing energy back down through the branches.
-
Allow that energy to flow through your body, should feel empowering.
Now, open your eyes. This type of visualization technique can help you to feel grounded and empowered to begin your workings.
Protection example
It helps to separate your energy from the energies of others. Here is an example of a simple visualization technique as one way of protection, include avoiding the influences of another witch's workings. And so, it is always recommended to setup your own personal protections as a practitioner of magick. Here is an example visualization technique often referred to as "Energy Shielding" by many practitioners:
Shield of light method
-
Close your eyes and take three deep breaths and exhale, relax.
-
Visualize surrounding yourself surrounded in colour – use any color that you like; Many visualize a bright white light which can also feel cleansing and purifying.
-
Visualize surrounding your home as if a huge shield of colour or light.
-
Feel only your own (and residents of our home) energies separated from others.
-
Know and feel that you (and your family) are always protected from outside lower vibrating energies (also referred to as negative energies) within.
Now, open your eyes. This type of visualization technique can help to boost confidence, empowering our free will to not be influenced by external sources of energy.

The Rede
of the Wiccae
Made famous by Doreen Valiente, Initiate of Gerald Gardner.
Being known as
The counsel of the Wise Ones:
Bide the Wiccan laws ye must,
in perfect love and perfect trust.
Live and let live, fairly take and fairly give.
Cast a circle thrice about
to keep the evil spirits out.
To bind the spell every time,
let the spell be spake in rhyme.
Soft of eye and light of touch,
speak little, listen much.
Deosil go by the waxing moon,
sing and dance the Wiccan rune.
Widdershins go when the moon doth wane,
and the Werewolf howls by the dread Wolfsbane.
When the Lady's Moon is new,
kiss thy hand to Her times two.
When the Moon rides at Her peak
then your heart's desire seek.
Heed the Northwind's mighty gale;
lock the door and drop the sail.
When the wind comes from the South,
love will kiss thee on the mouth.
When the wind blows from the East,
expect the new and set the feast.
When the West wind blows o'er thee,
departed spirits restless be.
Nine woods in the Cauldron go,
burn them quick a' burn them slow.
Elder be ye Lady's tree;
burn it not or cursed ye'll be.
When the Wheel begins to turn,
let the Beltane fires burn.
When the Wheel has turned at Yule,
light the log and let Pan rule.
Heed ye flower bush and tree,
by the Lady Bless'd Be.
Where the rippling waters go
cast a stone and truth ye'll know.
When find that ye have need,
hearken not to others' greed.
With the fool no season spend
or be counted as his friend.
Merry meet and merry part,
bright the cheeks and warm the heart.
Mind the Three Fold Law ye should,
three times bad and three times good.
When misfortune is enow,
wear the Blue Star on thy brow.
True in love ever be
unless thy lover's false to thee.
Eight words ye Wiccan Rede fulfill:
An' it harm none, do what ye will.
True in love ever be
unless thy lover's false to thee.
Eight words ye Wiccan Rede fulfill:
An' it harm none, do what ye will.

AskaGreyWitch.com is where I share with you what interests me most, my personal practice! I hope to spark excitement so that you can nurture your own passions and projects. For years, I have served as a useful source of motivation, assistance or advice. I finally decided to own that role and be more intentional about it. I started Ask a Grey Witch: with a mission to give others a taste of my thoughts and experiences by answering submitted questions. What started as occasional posts has evolved into a rich site filled with a variety of information about various topics that are near and dear to my being. Take some time to explore the blogs and find what sparks your interest. Submitted questions are very much appreciated!
The main focus of this website has become to serve as a support platform for the Astral Sacred Meadow Circle.

As a Wiccan male and practitioner of energy work and manifestation, I share my perspective and experience in a way that I hope makes sense and is helpful to others. I want to be clear that what I say is not what goes. I'm not trying to say that what I think is the only way... each and every one of us has our own way of thinking and individual beliefs, traditions, etc. Quite often I find myself offering guidance, answering questions, providing information and giving advice to other practitioners of magick finding their own way.
This website is maintained as a safe place where perspectives are shared, ideas can be explored, and submitted questions can be answered honestly without inquirers made to feel centre staged, or stereotyped, or discriminated against, etc. like what can happen in online communities or on social media these days.
Lots about workings and experiences can be shared by simply answering submitted questions in a short blog style format. By doing so, together we may be able to help break some of the misconceptions that still exist out there about modern witches, wiccans, or other interesting folk.
The blog appears in the order that the questions were asked. Therefore, the newer more recent posts are found at the top of the blog entry list and the older blog entries can be found below in the list with the oldest/first entry at the bottom. There is a search option if that helps to narrow down the subject of the blog that you are interested in reading about.
It is my hope that by sharing some knowledge of my own perspectives in this way that it's convenient and helpful to others determining what's best for themselves and will allow me to divide my time more evenly for those requesting mentorship. Enjoy your visit and the information that is shared about beliefs, experiences, and manifestation. All of the blog entries are written to answer a submitted question in a short, yet informative post (the blog entries have an average reading time of around five minutes. The videos have an average length of about 6 minutes).
We all need something to motivate us. Take a look around; perhaps you’ll be motivated to discover what exhilarates and fits best for you. After all, the more personally satisfying workings feel to the practitioner, the more likely manifestations will materialize into reality.
Please feel free to share any concerns, suggestions, or comments that you may have as I always appreciate feedback.
